Pastoral Care:
- Much emphasis is put on creating a friendly and conducive atmosphere to enhance better learning.
- All teachers are responsible for the welfare and progress of all learners in their classes and the whole school at large.
- There is an excellent Parents Teachers Association where elected parents and staff exchange ideas designed and aimed at benefiting the welfare and education of the children.
- There is a careers programme providing information and guidance on subject combinations and the careers related to the subject combinations enabling learners to choose subjects which best suit their interests and abilities.
- There are class meetings for each individual class where different subjects are discussed giving the learners the opportunity to discuss issues they will meet as they leave childhood.
Involving Parents:
- Detailed personal reports are written at the end of each term. All Parents are given the opportunity to meet subject teachers and discuss their children’s progress.
- At the end of each term, a circular is sent to parents informing them of the news, achievements and activities to take place in the coming term.
- On visiting days, teachers are available to outline students’ achievements and aims and to discuss strategies for achieving their goals.
- Parents wishing to discuss their children’s progress have access to all teachers at the school at any time, and, the Head teacher and her Deputy are always willing to meet parents at any time.
