St. Aloysious S.S. Bwanda is a Catholic-founded school, established with the aim of imparting true catholic values, coupled with the normal education curriculum, into young ladies. Originally set up with an intention of grooming young girls intending to join the Bannabikira Sisters Congregation, the school has sought to widen its scope, due to public demand, to include education and raising up God-fearing and responsible young catholics. It is an O’ and A’ level boarding girls’ school offering both arts and sciences.
Location:
The school is situated in Kalungu Sub-County, Kalungu County, Masaka District. It is about 13 Km from Masaka Town. From Nyendo, you take Villa Maria Road.
Curriculum:
The school offers a wide range of subjects in both arts and sciences to enable students pursue careers convenient to them. In addition, practical skills like sewing, knitting, poultry and pig raring are offered to expand the students’ future opportunities.
Staff:
The school boasts of a competent and dedicated staff available to the students for consultation 24 hours.
Feeding:
Students are fed on a variety of foods throughout the week. The menu includes matooke, posho, rice, potatoes, cassava, beans, meat, groundnuts, fish, and pork, which are prepared interchangeable. The school has several plantations from which it gets some of its food. It also has Fresian cows from which milk is got and mixed with porridge every morning.
